Every time they harvest sticky rice from the fields, people in the Northwest grind and brew sticky rice flour, add a little red sugar and chicken eggs, then roll them into balls like bee pupae and fry them in a greased pan to create Oong cakes. The delicious, nutritious Oong Dong Rung cake is a gift that all highland children eagerly look forward to.
